Dismal Security, Deceptive Practices, and Unresponsive Management

I strongly urge you to reconsider renting from Storage King, specifically their Dallas, TX location. Be sure to thoroughly read through all available reviews and feedback before making any decisions involving this facility. - Misleading pricing: Storage King attracts new tenants with competitive low rental rates, only to impose substantial rental increase notices shortly after. - Rampant theft and security issues: The facility is plagued by frequent burglaries due to the lack of an onsite manager. There is only a maintenance employee present three days a week. The district manager admitted in July 2024 that three to four units are broken into daily. - Unsupportive management: Management fails to contact tenants affected by break-ins, claiming that tenants must check their units regularly and resecure them when necessary. - Aggressive practices: Storage King quickly locks out tenants, puts units under lien, and provides no recourse in the event of a break-in. - Unsecured premises: The gate is often "broken" or left open, compromising security and inviting theft. Units are separated by thin metal flashing, which can be easily unscrewed, allowing easy access to neighboring units. - Questionable insurance association: The insurance company associated with Storage King - False advertising: Storage King falsely advertises 24-hour access, requiring express permission from upper management. Like many others, I've faced multiple system issues and attempted to address them with management, only to receive dismissive responses and no helpful solutions. Despite providing recorded phone calls and receipts as proof, the manager refused to take responsibility. Please take these warnings seriously and spare yourself the stress and potential loss associated with renting from Storage King. Choose a storage facility that prioritizes security and values customer satisfaction instead. Don't let deceptive practices and poor management compromise the safety of your belongings

Do not lease from Storage King in Dallas, Tx!

These five star reviews are 100% not credible. Two were written in August 2023 right before four managers were fired at year end for mismanagement. One of them was guilty of attempted insurance fraud and I strongly advise against renting from Storage King's Dallas, TX location. Please take the time to read through all available reviews and feedback on any other site besides this. Look them up on Better Business Bureau. They have an F! You will regret being misled by the low rates. $100 rent becomes nearly twice that when your concession period ends. Visit Facebook group, StorageKingWatchdog, exposes their corrupt mismanagement and misconduct. Key points to consider: - Deceptive pricing: Low initial rates are followed by significant rental increases. - Security issues: With no onsite manager, break-ins are rampant. The district manager admitted in July 2024 that three to four units are broken into daily. - Unsupportive management: They don't contact tenants about break-ins and offer no recourse. - Aggressive practices: Storage King quickly locks out tenants and puts units under lien. Then gives no recourse when your unit is burglarized - False advertising: 24-hour access requires upper management permission. - Their system uses automated messaging and frequently causes errors that will leave you without access and charged fees in error. Error corrections are treated as credits and refused regularly. I have been in my units for a year. I was burglarized a week after moving in and it’s been a horrible experience. Despite my attempts to address these issues, management remains dismissive. If you don’t want your stuff stolen, choose a different storage. If you do choose to store here, make sure to get full coverage k. Your insurance because it’s likely you’ll need it when your unit is burglarized.
