Discover the Average and Lowest Priced Storage Units in Laguna Beach, CA
Laguna Beach City Guide
Laguna Beach, California is a coastal city known for its artistic, bohemian, and alternative culture. It has a population of 22,723, a Mediterranean climate (i.e. one season: sunny), and is where the first fossilized skull (named “Laguna Woman,” who lived here 11,700 years ago) in the state was discovered. The city was officially founded in 1887 by opening its first post office and not much has changed since then—it’s still a relatively small community, surrounded by green hills on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other.
Back in the silent movie era, Laguna Beach was a popular filming location and Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., and many others stayed here. You can go to the movies at Laguna South Coast Theatre, see a live show at the Laguna Playhouse, the oldest running theatre on the west coast, or check out local exhibits at the Laguna Art Museum. And the Pageant of the Masters, which recreates famous artwork using live people as models, is not to be missed!
Many painters, photographers, and filmmakers live here, and they keep their homes clutter-free by renting out local self storage units for all their equipment, supplies, and embarrassing first attempts at art.
No stay in Laguna Beach would be complete without going to the beach. You can buy an ice cream and simply meander along the coastline, enjoy a game of volleyball on the sand, or rent a surfboard and hit the waves. Once night falls, the downtown area lights up with art galleries (Cove Gallery, Floating Cloud Gallery, the annual Plein Air Painting Invitational at Tivoli Too), boutiques (if you’re not in the mood to buy, be sure to visit Just Looking Boutique), restaurants, and bars.
La Brisas serves the best Mexican food in the county, Dizz’s As Is is a cozy bistro in a 1920s house, and the Pacific Edge Hotel's deck that overlooks the ocean is known for their colorful cocktails. If you’re looking for live music, Brussels Bistro (techno), Marine Room (rock), and Mozambique (Reggae) are favorite hotspots.
With so many galleries and shops and so little space, you can be sure that many businesses and individuals rent units in one of the many self storage facilities in town.
It’s important to be familiar with the surrounding area around a storage facility and the additional services available to assist you either moving into or out of a self storage unit.
