Great Facility - Should Have Easier Access to Carts for Transport

I love this place - it is close - the people are nice - the facility is clean. But due to people who do not return keys, they have enacted a policy that you have to walk into the office and request a key for a cart to transport belongings to a storage unit, which becomes a hassle when you go to get a key and the staff is out on the property showing units or taking care of their chores. I made 6 trips in 1 day, so it was a hassle beyond belief. At one point, I waited 20 minutes just to return the key and that is an inconvenience. Other than that - great facility and storage and prices!!!! I probably won't qualify for the Amazon gift card at this point, but for being honest, it would be nice if I did.

The office staff are friendly and helpful. Units are clean. The the faculty is large. Just be prepared to be blocked in by the rude customers. But jerks are everywhere.

Secure, Clean & Easy Small Unit Affordability

I had a great experience and all because of Corbyn. Corbyn does a great job when it comes to his customer service, the storage is fresh, cleaned, doesn't smell or have wear and the sliding door is firm and working well on my unit. I was actually shopping places and Corbyn sealed me into a deal with his personality and good work ethic, I did go with this place over the competition who had better price, better hours. As a customer toward other customers treat this place good so we don't have to pay for insurance on our units 🤦🏿‍♂️

Storage review

Gate hours and the new style lock are the only gripes I have everything else is AWESOME. I am used to 6am to 9pm everyday gate hours and I have tons of locks, so buying another one seemed unnecessary. It is what it is though.

Reservation was pointless, but the overall facility is still nice.

I made a reservation over a week in advance for the unit I wanted, and was locked in at a lower price before their prices went up. They followed up by phone call multiple times before my reservation, and I kept confirming I would be there at the scheduled date for setting it up. However, when I arrived to claim my reservation, they said they found my reservation but their computer wasn't holding reservations (not sure what that means) so they had accidentally already given my unit away to someone else earlier that day, and none were left in the size I reserved. So I ended up having to get a slightly smaller unit for the same price I was supposed to pay for the one I reserved. That part was frustrating and why I can't give 5 stars, but the overall facility is clean, well lit, and very nice.

Outstanding Service and Facility

I picked this place because of the great price. When I toured the facility, someone took the time to explain everything to me and show me around. The amenities they have are also very helpful, like carts to transfer your belongs to your unit, clean bathrooms, names for the hallways, smart lighting, and safe storage. Everything was really clean, and I was impressed with how helpful and kind the staff is. I highly recommend this place!

The only downside is that it's only open until 7 pm, but the convenience and cleanliness of this storage unit is great! You have to type your security code to get through the gate, into your storage building, and up the elevator, so I have very little worry about my storage being violated. Maybe a bit too secure

This place is like the Fort Knox. I have to enter my code 3 times to access my storage unit plus they have a special lock you have to buy that is extra secure. The facility closes at 7pm I assume so that the security cameras can clearly capture anybody coming or going.

I'm really happy with the pricing I got on my unit. The people are friendly and helpful. However, my unit wasn't clean inside (it had some dirty paper towels and tiny debris). I was also told that they'll "lock you in" if you're there after 7, and charge you $50 to get you out. I'm told that the lock-in is illegal. I guess with such low rates, they have to be strict.

We had to switch our move in date last minute on top of that we needed a bigger unit on the spot! They gave us a great deal which is guaranteed for 6 months! They have tamper proof locks which made me feel extra safe...when we came close to closing time and only had an hour left to get our stuff in! It would have been nice to be able to drive around the building rather than having back up the trailer we have. I did not appreciate the sales associate raising his squeaky voice at my 2 year old when she was getting impatient. It is very clean. Everything went smooth with exception of "free" move in truck. They told me it was free up to 50 mile radius. I drove truck 58 miles total and they tried to charge me for 8 miles. I advise them that a 50 mile radius would mean I get total of 100 miles. After arguing what the word radius means they finally gave in. Seems a bit deseaving to advertise that way.

Think you had a lot of storage units? You have probably not had one like this before. The place is immaculately clean. The staff and manager especially are so nice. They provide a truck, flat beds, locks....but you feel like they are your friend on moving day and every day after. They also store RVs, cars and boats so their mentality is so different. Usually the person at storage is not professional as in this is his/her career. But I5 takes their business and you seriously. Add to that, a beautiful lobby, comfortable couches to take a break, free wifi to check some email and a cold soda or water. That's hospitality. I have been there over a year and I absolutely love it. Thank you I5 team Tustin.

I-5 Self Storage is extremely clean and customer service is top notch. The two gals at the front desk keep their cool/friendliness even when it is busy. They explain all the important details so you don't miss anything. The facility is easy to get in and out of, and they provide 24-hour surveillance. They even have moving supplies available onsite at a much lower price than you will find at stores like Home Depot or Lowes. I am taking off one star due to what I would call a training deficiency - when I went to check out the unit, I confirmed pricing and all of the particulars. This establishment uses a different lock than other storage units I have rented - it is a round key and slide-in cylinder. When shown the unit, I walked past literally 30 closed doors - all with locks installed. When I scheduled my use of their free truck (no A/C!) I asked about the lock and was told they supplied it. Fast forward three days later when I went in to sign docs, I was told it would be $13 to buy a lock. Needless to say, at that point I couldn't shop for one to fit as I didn't know I had to supply the lock. This isn't about being cheap - it is about having all the information. There the service broke down. Otherwise everyone was professional, the place is nice and clean and I am comfortable placing my extra stuff there. Grade B

I have stored at and checked out approximately a dozen storage facilities over the last several years, and this, by far, is the best in all the things that matter - security, cleanliness, pricing, customer care. They made a mistake on my reservation which could have cost me a great inconvenience if they hadn't corrected it - which they did correct very satisfactorily. Erik checked us in and was accommodating, friendly and efficient. The unit was exceptionally clean - hasn't always been my experience. The facility seems very secure. Best deal for storage in OC

I needed some storage and found Sparefoot and they linked me to I5 Storage in Tustin. It is right off the I5 and was very easy to get to. The only negative is that the gate hours are only 6am to 7pm.

This facility was easy to find, the staff was helpful, and they were upfront about their prices. The storage units are located in a secure area and I felt confident leaving my treasured items locked up and in their care. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is due to their hours. We arrived to check into our storage unit at 6pm. They close at 6:30, but stop working at 6pm to process closing the building and ensuring everyone is out of their storage units. I'm bummed this wasn't communicated more clearly on the website.

I rented a small unit here in Tustin instead of Irvine because of the cheaper price, also expecting to get less of a secure, clean, and friendly environment. I did not receive any less - in fact I received more. This facility is very secure (many passcodes, many gates, locked elevators, etc.) and I feel that my belongings will be safe here even when I am not in Tustin. Customer service was very friendly but they were extremely busy and had a lot of people to deal with at once - the desk employee handled it very professionally and kindly. This is my favorite storage facility so far. It's right off the 5, so easy to get to. Access is easy and safe with a code. Hours of availability are good. Facility is new and clean and offers play area, wifi, conference room. They were very upfront about costs and answered all my questions about notice for vacating. There have been no surprises, no hidden fees. I expect a comfortable transition with them when I move out as well.

Overall, I say it's very good. Easy on-line reservation and good 6 month discount through Sparefoot! After the six months though, the price doubles and is much more than other units. The free Wifi business center will be great when we are back in town and the overall cleanliness was impressive. I also like that it is not part of a large chain and the owner seems to take great pride in his business!
