pot holes all over the lot
The outdoor facility at Lakeville ,MN has a lot of trash scattered about and the lot is full of pot holes. It is extremely annoying to pull a trailer into the lot full of pot holes and mud.

Very friendly staff.
I visited with the staff about leasing a space on May 13th and told them I had to see if I could cancel my lease at another facility before I could commit. They set up an agreement for me, but canceled it after 4 days.
After I received notice that I was able to get out of my lease on May 29th, I contacted them to see if I could lease the space for the previous price, but was told they could not bring up my old agreement but could go on line and secure a lease for around $85.00 a month more. Seems crazy that it would go up that much in that short of time!!
Otherwise, staff is friendly and space is good.

TABITHA THE MANAGER AT GOPHER MINI STORAGE ON 165TH STREET WEST IN LAKEVILLE IS SIMPLY AWESOME AND VERY PROFESSIONAL! I HAVE STORED MANY THINGS THERE FOR YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM! TABITHA KNOWS THE PLACE EXTREMELY WELL AND HAS BEEN IN THAT FIELD OF WORK FOR YEARS SO SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING AND CAN BE TRUSTED! FINALLY A STORAGE FACILITY WITH A MANAGER THAT YOU CAN TRUST WITH YOUR PROPERTY!

When I first got there I noticed a gate with barbed wire and a place to put in an access code. The lady at the desk was phenomenal in helping me and it took less than 20 minutes to get through everything. I even got an awesome deal for $20.00 off for the first 3 months. The only thing that wasn't 100% was that she said she would keep it locked so no hobos camp out until I bring my own lock and start getting things moved in. So if their security isn't 100% they are aware of it and work with you. Overall it has been a very good experience.

Convenient, great customer service.
I arrived without an appointment, but they quickly got me into their system and set up with a unit. I had reserved a unit online prior to arriving. Great customer service and I was able to get into my unit in just a few short minutes, unloaded my stuff, and was on my way.

Not exaggerating. I was robbed and they didn't do a thing!
Their office says that all areas are under surveillance. Not true. I know this because when my garage door wouldn't open, I needed to move to a larger, more expensive unit. This meant I'd need a few days to get help to move our belongings. The staff told another perspective client that whatever is left in the facility, they can take. It was 4 days between getting all of my property moved into the larger unit. I had about $4,000 of my stuff stolen, even took photos of my stuff in the other guy's garage. Gopher storage did nothing and further, when the police asked to see the surveillance tapes, they were told they only have cameras at the office and one of the driveways. Insurance they require I purchase didn't cover it and they did nothing. I don't typically react this way, but I am appalled at the pathetic customer service. RUN - go anywhere but here!!!!!!!!

I was overcharged for padlocks (have to purchase from them in order to receive discount).
Apparently it was not possible to simply refund my credit card. A check needed to be issued for the refund. I was told check was ready and I could stop by and pick it up.
I show up up to get my refund....No check. I contact manager again. I'm told check is there again. Show up...no check. This happens THREE times.
Repeated emails, texts, still have not received a refund that was now supposed to be mailed. AVOID THIS PLACE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Friendly service, easy access
Near I 35 access, plenty of space - open area (outdoor vehicle parking for me). Friendly service. The office needed a little sprucing up. There was a 36.00 admin fee and a 25.00 non refundable deposit so that was not clear why for both? Won't be getting the 25.00 back. Parking an old truck outside, shouldn't require deposit or admin and tag fee. Seems secure, nearby.

The lady at the desk was very kind and helpful!
I only met one lady that worked at the front desk, but she was very helpful with getting me a storage unit and making sure I knew what to do and where to go to access my unit. The office was very clean as well as the units themselves. It was unfortunate a lock is needed to be purchased and isn't provided, but she was nice enough to guide me toward the one that is the most secure so my unit isn't broken into. The option of reserving a unit online for a cheaper monthly rent was also appreciated and why I picked this storage unit in the first place! You guys were the cheapest and I thank you for that!
