Found this from online research as one of the cheapest storage across NYC. Called the location office, theanager and staff are all very nice and helpful so I decide to pick this location. Overall, very good experience, and with the first month free promotion, this is cheaper than other facilities.

Clean and friendly

Nice and clean. Our unit is conveniently located within the storage facility, and easy to access. The employees were very kind. Only negatives so far are that it's located near Yankee stadium/major Deegan and thus can be tricky to get to, especially the first time. Also hours are somewhat restrictive, so it's not possible to go really early or really late to ensure that there's little traffic

Awful Experience

I rented at a decent price and they forced me out by issuing an immediate rent increase that was more than double my monthly rent after I moved my stuff in. I made endless attempts with Customer Service for a fair resolution, but they got irritated and became very blunt, very quickly. I was told my contract allowed them to raise my rent EVERY month if they saw fit. Very disrespectful and not conducive to a lasting, successful business. Unhappy and very put out by having to find another place for my stuff.

Some issues depending on location, I had to move twice due to facility issues like water leakage. Customer service is good though and they notify you of any issues promptly and reply quickly to emails and phone calls.

Hinderance more than a convivence

This has been the worst storage experience ever. The hours are terrible weekdays the storage closes at the time normal people get off of work so there is no access if you needed to use or get something out of your storage. During the weekend it closes early. This location and any other ran in this nature is more of a hinderance than a convivence. The location is steps away from a police station dont see why its not open with later hours. I will be moving on next month this has been the worst year and money spent i ever had and i moved from cube smart and will make sure others know of the lack of convivence which is important when it comes to storage facilities.

Moved from 30th st to Bronx only because I trusted the employees at the time in Manhattan The new ownership is at least asking for an opinion? Inhaled fumes No Heat til now No air conditioning One elevator No Toilet (til now ) Inconvenient hours Blocking windows construction destroyed my stuff Property insurance after watching the twin building burn was scary! Raising rent during a pandemic was scummy

This facility has gotten much better since PrimeStorage took it over. The last owners had really let it go. I’ve noticed a lot of improvements they’ve made. The only thing that could use improvement is the elevator, and the security could be better. Ie there should be a coded entrance or a coded elevator.

The facility is not 24 hours accessible. It's not temoreture controlled yet the prices were raised with no warning. I changed from my old facility to this one because I was offered a better price & now I pay more then I was paying at my previous facility whike on a fixed income. I am not at all happy

The rent on my unit has been increased twice without proper notice

Prime Storage has increased my rent and charged me for insurance which I did not require without proper notice. The unit is far too expensive. My belongings were moved without my consent from Chelsea to the Bronx so I am certainly not in agreement with paying excessive fees to store them in an area I never agreed to be in the first place.

Not Customer Considerate

I went through this Pandemic contracting Covid 19. I issued medical documentation for verification. I was place on workers compensation which was a lengthily process considering the time. A employee from the previous company was suspected to be stealing cash payments. There was also payment documents that was lost during the transition between both companies. I provided those documents. I was still forced out and my rent was increased. I know this is a business and that bills have to be paid. there wasn't no consideration what that there was a pandemic nor that i wasnt able to pay the increases at the moment.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

This place is a nightmare and had the nerve to ask me to leave a review! Last night, coincidentally, I was preparing court papers to sue for consumer fraud. I was lured in by a great deal on my unit when they were still Extra Space. Shorrly after I moved my belongings in, I was sent an email letting me know my rent was about to be more than DOUBLED, an increase of $277. I had an opportunity I gave up at another place, because I was sold on this one. I cannot tell you how much I regret that. I have spent the last few months trying to reason to no avail and will start legal proceedings asap. It is sad and unfortunate that a place like this would try to capitalize on people who are already suffering in the throes of a pandemic. I have done business with many storage companies over the years and have never experienced anything like this in my life. Please avoid at all costs if you value your belongings and your peace of mind!

The customer service is horrible, The female there have a real nasty horrible attitude and the hygiene of the place is really nasty! Is was rats in my unit and they destroyed a lot of my belongings!!

Rip-off

I twice sent in documentation that I had hundreds of thousands of dollars of insurance that covered off-premises storage. I was twice told that I would not be charged for additional insurance. I even got an apology for having to submit the documentation a second time. And guess what? I'm being charged for insurance. Now I could try to get this corrected by submitting the paperwork again. What are the chances that it will work? Clearly they just want to up their fee by charging for insurance wether it's needed or not.
