Unit works for me.
The storage place is fine, clean. Front desk service was great. The only problem I had is that there were no carts to help you move your stuff in. I've used other storage places and there were always multiple carts right by the entrance to your building for you to use.

The manager was very pleasant until I...
The manager was very pleasant until I signed the contract. Upon moving in I wanted to use the 2 available moving carts. I was told I could only use one cart/dolly as per customer policy even though it was 1/2 hour before closing and the second cart remained locked up and unused. I was also charged 20.00 for a three dollar lock, and the manager was very pushy with the up-sale items such as boxes, blankets, bubble wrap, moisture control devices, etc. I was also shocked that my 10x10 storage unit has no roof. Anybody can climb over the walls during off hours and rummage through my things. I'm stuck now because I'm not moving twice, but I would never use Public storage again.

This storage company was an excellent...
This storage company was an excellent experience for my storage needs. The individual who assisted me, Paul, was very professional and helpful in helping me by assessing my space needs and giving me the correctly sized unit. The prices were extremely competitive, I was lucky enough to get a Labor Day discount. The storage supplies for sale were very useful as well. The storage security is top notch and the unit was climate controlled. The hours are very reasonable for access but also for security purposes. I can't recommend this company enough for storage needs.

I came with at least ten questions after wanting to get a new unit (and eventually move out of another spot). I was met by Elaine and Leesa, and they answered every question intelligently and with a smile. The unit is very clean and secure. I'm very happy so far with my new unit - and the women who work there have been very nice!

Outstanding service from the start.
From the moment I walked into the office, every detail was handled efficiently. All my questions were answered. The ease in filling out the paperwork to the step by step procedures to use were thorough and even the tips given were very helpful. The service provided me by Nick at the Commack facility was exemplary. I feel a sense of security no matter the hour of the day when using the facility. My only question is...."why did I wait so long to utilize Public Storage".. I highly recommend them!!

Public Storage will always be my first choice in temporary storage options!
I was very impressed with the management, cleanliness, and design of the Public Storage facility in Commack, NY. Management was courteous, friendly, and quite helpful. Inside climate control was impressive and the hallways and storage spaces were immaculate. The versatile design offered me many options, particularly when I changed my mind from my initial reservation. Management helped me find a very conveniently located unit on the ground floor that I could almost load directly from my car.

I'm not impressed!
I felt the facility was standard and adequate. but I didn't like the low level of security. In late January on a Monday I went to the facility.The main gate wasn't working and was completely open for anyone to drive in. No repair personnel or vehicles any where in sight. I thought maybe they were waiting for them to arrive. I returned 2 days later on Wednesday, and the gate was still broken and completely open. Again, no repair personnel in sight. Also, I don't think it's very secure that all the exterior doors leading into the building open with the same code, a very simple to figure out 1-3-5. And the door that I used to access the building never closed completely by itself.
