This was a last minute arrangement after a problem with my move and Storage Post Ridgewood made it so easy for me! I was able to do all of the arrangements remotely and the staff was great about following up to make sure everything was ready for an easy move in. The facility was great and I appreciated all of the moving tools that made it a breeze to get all of my things to the second floor. I also got an amazing deal, would definitely recommend !

Good storage but customer service is a bit lacking

I made a reservation for the space but had to wait for some time before I could be helped as the facility only had one person managing that day. When I was helped, I certainly did not appreciate the sexist comments questioning whether or not I could lift the items I brought with me. The comments happened several times. The clerk assuring my partner that "Oh yeah, don't let her lift anything!'. It was rude and unnecessary.

This is my third storage unit company in NYC and I must say it's the best. I'm hoping that the security is strong since I just moved in, I'm still not sure about that. But the overall deal you get here is unbeatable. Good for people who are looking for a small storage locker. You get good space, very good access hours to your unit and it's a great price. Quick to sign up and get set up.

My whole experience has been great!

Pricing is better then other storage facilities. The woman I dealt with was helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Access is great with many hours available. Security is good, sometimes too good (I have to put my security code in often). The storage space is very clean. I could not ask for more.

Definitely a facility worth using

The space at Ridgewood Storage Facility was clean, secure and well maintained. While a tiny bit out of the way, it was easily accessible by bus and by car. I never once had any difficulty with the facility itself and customer service was always polite, professional and courteous. Definitely a facility worth using if you're in the area or even in other neighborhoods in Brooklyn.

Nice clean facility, Very poor customer service

After making reservation online weeks prior (thru spare foot) and securing a room for the day of my move and receiving a confirmation number- I was told 10min prior to arriving with a truck full of furniture and movers that I was paying by the hour, that there was no reservation and that there was no room available. Not even a different size. Since it was a Sunday late afternoon I had very few options, and had to scramble to find ANY storage facility in the vicinity to rent me a room. That storage facility ended up being in another borough, miles away, and cost me $285 more than I had budgeted, (not to mention the extra hours I had to pay the movers). When I called to speak with the manager to complain and get an explanation the next day, the woman gave me her GM's number and told me to take it up with him. In the following days I ended up leaving several messages (at least 5), and never received a returned call. The people working in the office who I later spoke with in person, were not only unsympathetic, but treated me very poorly, repeatedly telling me I never had a reservation since it was taken through Spare Foot, a company they said they were not affiliated with. Overall it was the worst moving experience I've ever had, as well as absolute worst customer service experience (Storage Post facility staff).

Very easy experience

My partner and I had a very terrible moving experience and were forced to put our apartment into storage for approx 2 weeks. This storage facility was one easy piece of a lot of hard pieces. The storage specialists were very friendly and nice. They offered us a dolly to use and it made us feel like someone cared. Thank you!

I chose Storage Post for the price. When I arrived Storage Specialist, Mylandria, was pleasant, informative, helpful and patiently answered all of my questions. The facility was spotless. I thought that it had just opened but had been told that it has been open for 7 years. It looked brand new. My space was as described and very secure. So far, I am very pleased.

Seems brand new, super clean and well-lighted facility. They were very helpful and friendly. I had a little problem and she figured out how to solve it to my satisfaction. One of the better storage facilities I've used. The location seems industrial, but it's right next to a huge supermarket and not too far from a residential neighborhood.

Overall I was pleased with the Security provided at this facility. Customer Service up to par. Pleased with size of unit. Only complaint is the 2 occasions that I have visit this facility it was very unkept. As oppose to empty boxes and plastic bags scattered in front of the Business. And the workers needed to put items in one area of the facility when taking things out for auctioning. Had a really hard time getting a wagon or two to pass through this area and had to literally put items on the other side of the wall, because it was taking up both left and right side of the narrow hallways where units are. And the facility needs to have the floors cleaned on the regular seen plenty of scuff marks, and dirty floors.

Super Friendly and Clean, just one Gripe.

This is a new facility so everything is very clean and nice inside. Its so huge, though that it's a bit of a maze to find your unit the first time, if you're coming in through the back entrance. Try to get a unit near the elevator if you can, else you might get lost. The guy at the counter was super cool and friendly. He explained everything very well and made sure I understood all the important stuff. Be aware there is a mandatory insurance charge that gets added to the quoted price (something less than $10 month) so keep that in mind when comparing prices with other facilities. some others don't require it, or build the cost in. It seems kind of stupid to make it an extra charge if everyone has to pay it regardless. Why not just build it into the rental price upfront?. Anyway, even with the insurance this is a solid deal, just don't be shocked when they hit you with it. Its great that there are extended hours available via secure access in the rear entrance normal office hours. I'd like to see that access extended even later, or possibly even to 24 hours, since everything is automated secured with key codes. MY ONE GRIPE IS THE FACILITY NEEDS BETTER DOLLIES AND A BIGGER VARIETY OF SIZES. There seem to be plenty of dollies available but they are all pretty small resulting in the need to make many more trips than necessary. Some larger wheeled bins (with sides) would really save a lot of trips.
