What a nightmare
Booked online because there is not anyone that actually physically works there. Was told I would receive the 50% off special for the first 2 months. When I arrived I had to check in on a kiosk. It timed out because one of the questions is about insurance. You are not able to bypass that question and obviously they want you to purchase through them. I had to look up our personal insurance info and by the time I entered it the session timed out. Was never advised at time of booking that this would be needed. When I went through the entire process again, at checkout there was not a discount given. I paid full price. When I called the customer service # a representative stated that yes, original booking showed I qualified for the discount and it would go to the supervisor and I would be getting a call back. I finally called 3 days later and was informed that the corporate office denied my discount. What a joke. Go to somewhere that there is actually someone on premise to reserve and check you in. Their kiosk is their money maker!!!

If they tell you that you will get a discount, please don't believe it.
I called the phone # listed online for this facility. The representative informed me that I would receive a 50% discount on the first 2 months. He made the reservation for me over the phone and I went to the facility to check in. Upon arrival, there is not an agent there. You have to check in on a kiosk. There is a question on the kiosk that I was never asked about when booking the unit with the phone agent. It is about insurance for the unit. You cannot bypass the question. I wasn't about to pay their insurance that they offer as I have my own insurance. ,(It's another 25.00 a month for their insurance) by the time I pulled my insurance information up the kiosk timed out. I had to start the whole process again. I logged back in and when I was finally ready to check out, it charged me the full amount. I called the # back and the agent said I should have gotten the discount and would send it to a supervisor as it clearly showed that it was in the original booking. I was told that someone would be getting back to me. No reply in two days and I called back to be informed that the corporate office did not approve the discount. Everything is over the phone and many hoops to jump through. Far to many avenue's for them to get away with this. I will never use their facilities again, nor recommend them.

No local customer service or support
Customer service is not even located in this country and there is no local contact of the facility for things like the problems we have experienced (for the first time ever in a storage unit) which is mice/rats tearing up property, defecating everywhere, etc.

Hassle Free, Secure, Easily Accessibly for a GREAT Price!
I recently rented my second unit from spare box, I love that the facility is secure with a personalized pin to open the gated entry allowing renters to have access to their units when needed during hours of operation. I feel safe going alone when I need to remove or take items to one of my units. The facility is paved making the outside units easily accessible for loading and unloading during inclement weather. Both units have been clean upon renting and my belongings have remained dry while being stored providing me with the comfort that my stored items won't be damaged by water from the unit leaking when it rains. I would absolutely recommend Sparebox to anyone needing a storage unit due to the hassle free rental process and fair pricing. Plus Sparebox has a larger selection of unit sizes to chose from including climate controlled units to accommodate the needs for different renters.

over priced
Rented me a 5×10 went to use after renting U-Haul, someone else's lock on it.? Gav me a 10×15 for same price.. still no 5×10 available but going chg me for a 10×15.. feel like I got scammed into a 10×15... Shouldn't have to pay extra unless there is a 5×10 a available. Even at that will hav to rent a U-Haul an move to a 5×10 wen available.. cost me about $65 + my time!?🤔☕😎🇺🇸

Only use if there's no other choice.
It was a different storage company that ran it when I first started. Once SpareBox took over I lost 24 hour access and customer service went down, there's no one in the office any more, maintenance issues like doors jammed, slide locks not working and the biggest is mice infestation. Customer support is not helpful and most of the time they take a report but nothing is done. They are also expensive compared to other companies in the area since they jacked up prices.

Buy your own lock
Storage unit was great. You need to inform people on the screen when you give a code, that you * first and # last. So they don’t get locked in or out. But your customer service person was very sweet and helpful.

Not easy to open the unit
The unit I was assigned is not easily opened. It had a temp lock on it when I first arrived, which I had to break off, then the unit door sticks until it reaches a certain point.

Fair but kiosk didn’t work
I was surprised it was just a room with a kiosk no one was there to help we heard a lady in the building behind so my daughter went and asked for her help cause the card machine wasn’t working she said she didn’t work there so called customer service and they helped out in a reasonable time
