Good but confusing numbers

Everything seems good so far except my unit number doesn't really exist and after two trips and two phone calls they said "well we don't have a map and there are no spaces marked with your unit number but it's this other one." Pretty frustrating, but now I'm in and all is well.

Disappointed

I changed my reservation and received confirmation then when I arrived, I was told my reservation expired despite the fact that I had the confirmation email showing the new date. When I called, the customer service representative was almost hostile. The facility is nice but I had to call for help to get the door to my unit to shut all the way

Mislead about the size, & price of covered parking!

9-1-2023: I called SpareBox about covered parking & pricing for our 40’ RV. The man I talked to said the space was 12’ X 48’ and the rent was $109.00 a month which included tax. He repeated at least 2 more times that tax was included. I talked a friend of mine into moving here as he was at our old place & this location is closer for both of us for the same money. Our 40’ RV sticks out from under the supposedly 48’ space by 3’. I measured the spot, it is only 39’ long. The old place we were renting was 45’ long. On October 1, 2023 I received a bill stating I owed $109.00 plus $8.99 tax for a total of $117.99. I called SpareBox and explained the issue with no luck. I asked to talk to a manager and they transferred me to Anthony. I spoke with him and he said that whoever told me that the price included tax was wrong and that I would have to pay the $117.99 monthly to stay in this spot. Now I am paying more for a shorter covered parking spot!!! I suggested he go back thru his training with his employees. I also suggested he hire someone to work at the gate so we had someone in person to speak with. I called my friend that I talked into moving here, what Anthony said and he was upset that he would also have to pay more for the spot that he was renting. He was also told his total would be $109.00 per month, tax included. He is now looking for another place to rent, since he was mislead about the rental price. *First we were told the wrong size of the parking spot. *Second we were told the wrong price. Now we are paying more for a shorter spot!!! We are staying here for now, but can’t say that if we find something else, we won’t be moving as well. I really don’t appreciate being Mislead and then talking a friend into moving here, and after our first billing being completely wrong about the price of the spot. Makes me out to be a LIAR. I will not be referring anyone else in the future & will tell them what has transpired. Respectfully, Ron Schmehr

Would recommend with warning about accounting. The fact that I continually over last few years had to keep adjusting my automatic pay because it wasn’t being processed in time and accounting kept slapping us with late fees has been very frustrating. Always delivered on time but it wasn’t processed for two weeks or more and they would say we were late. Constantly corresponding to prove I paid in time. Even got locked out once. So it was up to me to contact you all and get this corrected numerous times. Customer service told me they would take late fees off based on received date, but that didn’t happen.

Not the best service

Spoke with a company call sparefoot told me to go look and speak with manager before taking. Got there nobody around . Had to call again and found out the first guy did not work for Sparebox . In the middle of this all I had to call 4 or 5 more times . Told them I wanted a covered Driveable RV spot . Gave me a price then the lot number . Went to look and could not find . They gave me a 4 disgust number and it was only a two digit spot . Wasted 45 minutes looking. Took Rv down will not fit in spot . To short . Had to call again and get another spot and a raised price . Also the north gate was open all weekend long . Not very secure.

There is NO person at the facility to answer questions or give assistance.

On Western there are three separate facilities Box 4, Box 5, and Box 6 very close together. I called to find out which facility I was to be in. The lady told me I had to pay before I could see my unit. I paid and she told me how to get into the gate. I was told when I made my Reservation that I would be on the ground level. When I FINALLY found the right building, after over two hours, my unit was on the second floor. There was an elevator, but I could not get it to work. I reloaded my car and went home. I called to report the problem. Two days later I was told it was working. I loaded the car and went there. The elevator did work but the sign on it said people could not ride on it and I had to climb up to meet my property. I am 75 and have an arthritic knee. The unit door wouldn't open! It was stuck. I reloaded my car and started to leave when I saw a vehicle with your Logo. I chased after it and the woman graciously came back with me and got the door open. I can only hope It will open when I take more boxes to put in it.

Renting it was rather difficult

Kiosk in lobby would not work so I couldn’t rent the unit I had reservations for. So I called customer service and was told at first that I had lost my reservation and that I was no longer eligible for the half off promotion. When I began to complain and asked for a supervisor the story was then changed and I was given my unit at the discount price. It very difficult not having a representative on site.

Problems with the whole kiosk issue couldn't find it the customer service personnel on the phone Couldn't help with locating it so she processed it over the phone but all in all it worked out I got my belongings into a storage unit!

Pretty simple setup

I was a little confused showing up at what looked like the office. No cars in the parking lot. I had called ahead of time and gotten a reservation #. I went to a check in machine when inside and it gave me all my details. They even had a machine for locks. Overall it was a pretty simple setup with minor confusion.
